How It Was Then, How It Is Now, and How You Dreamed It

You now have the keys to the castle. The Porsche is in the driveway. The view from your windows are everything you imagined... and more. But how does it feel? I mean, how does it really feel? No, okay, okay, before you answer that, take a breath. A long, long intentional breath. Now, reflect. Look around you. See the vision you held all those years ago not as a distant dream, but as your present reality. You’re living it.

Remember when it all began? When your dreams were fragile seedlings, when you dared to speak them aloud to people who responded with blank stares, polite nods, or outright doubt and muffled sniggering. Remember how that made you feel? The fire it ignited? That urge to prove... not to them... but to yourself, that you weren’t crazy to believe.

You climbed mountains... not just the kind made of stone, but the ones built from self-doubt, from financial strain, from late nights and early mornings, from fear and failure and the exhaustion that threatened to knock you out for good. You fell more times than you can count, but you rose again each time. And now, you’ve arrived.

But the journey hasn’t just been about reaching a destination. It’s been about becoming. Becoming sharper. Wiser. Stronger. And yes... more compassionate, more self-aware. It seems like a lifetime ago now, the beginning. A lot of water has passed under the bridge. And with that water, many friendships drifted away... some you wish you’d held on to. But such is life. People come and go. You soldier on.

I believe... no, I know... that certain people are sent into your life for a reason. That’s not just something to say to sound spiritual or poetic. It's truth. Some come as guides, ushers, gentle hands pointing the way when you’re lost in the fog. Others? Others show up like wrecking balls. Disruptors. Challengers. The chaos-creators. They test your patience, your character, and sap your strength.

But don’t discount them. They have purpose too. They shape you. Harden you. Polish your rough edges. They help form the unshakable version of you that could only be born through fire. Then there are the rare few... the loyal ones... who stay. Who cheer from the sidelines and celebrate your every win like it’s their own. If you have even one of those, hold them close.

These days, friendship feels more fleeting. Everyone’s in a rush. People enter and exit your life like a revolving door. You send a message, a call, a voice note... only to be met with silence. Sincere people are rare. And when they show up, they’re gold. But scarcity teaches you to treasure more.

Success has taught you to be alert. Wary. Guarded. You start to question people’s intentions. Is this connection genuine? Is this support real, or is it attached to a price tag? Trust, once freely given, now must be earned. You find yourself dissecting conversations, reading between the lines, even second-guessing your own words.

It really is a jungle out there, and everyone’s playing a role. Some are hunting. Others are hiding. And you... you’ve learned how to survive, how to thrive. You’ve become calculated, strategic. You had to. Because with every rise comes a shadow, and those shadows grow longer when the spotlight is on you.

Huh, they say, "Money changes people." But does it? Or does it just reveal who they’ve always been? If you were good-hearted before, success magnifies your goodness. If you wore a mask, success will strip it away. Now everyone sees you. And yes, the sharks and vampires and the snakes... those you suspected... are no longer hiding. They've emerged. But at least now you know them for sure.

Oh, and let’s not forget the rough patches... the moments when everything almost fell apart. The deals that didn’t go through. The times you had to pretend confidence when all you felt was fear. The nights when you cried in secret, because quitting seemed easier. How did you cope? How did you keep going?

Support. Real support. The kind that doesn’t come with conditions. A partner, a confidant, someone who saw the real you... not the polished version... but the vulnerable, shaken, doubting you. Someone who told you, in your darkest hour, "You’ve got this. it’s going to be alright."

I heard something on TikTok the other day. A successful entrepreneur was asked, “What’s the most important decision you’ve made in life?” His answer? “The woman I married.” And I believe him (do you get that?) The person beside you in battle matters. Because when the world sees your strength, they’re the one who holds you when you collapse. Their faith becomes your anchor.

Now, here you are. Victorious. Changed. Not just by what you’ve gained, but by what you’ve endured. The view is different from the top... but so are you. More discerning. More reflective. You’ve earned the right to exhale. To take it all in.

But here’s the thing: this isn’t the end. It’s just the summit of one climb. Ahead of you, new horizons wait to be explored. New dreams, once out of reach, now feel possible. Because you’ve proven to yourself that you are capable of more than you ever imagined.

So, then, tell me. How does it feel?

Go on, take another breath; and smile.

Because you built this. And now... it’s time to dream even bigger.

Because you have done it. You really have done well.
